I’m very proud of all my students and some recent tournament results reflect their hard work and dedication.
Carson Barry has had fantastic finishes in two top national junior tournaments this summer. He finished T42 in the 15-17 age division at the Junior World Championships in San Diego and recently in Sacramento Carson finished T19 in the Big “I” National Championship. Carson has made great improvements in his game compared to last year when he missed the cut at the Junior World and failed to qualify locally for the Big “I”.
Carson also played in the AJGA Ryan Moore Junior Championship in Lakewood, Washington where he struggled some with his game until posting a 70 on the final day to finish T29. Even when he struggles, like all champions do, he finds a way to have a good finish.
Congratulations Carson on a great summer so far!
15-year-old Jake O’Neil played outstanding in his first AJGA event in Medford, Oregon and finished T31 shooting rounds 75, 72, and 73 on a very demanding 7,300 yard long course.
Jake also won the 14-15 year old Idaho State Golf Association District Championship on the challenging Falcon Crest Golf Club Falcon course shooting rounds of 75 and 73. Jake is playing really well and is gaining confidence at every event.
Congratulations Jake!
Jake Slocum recently finished 3rd in the 13-14 year old division in a Rocky Mountain Junior Golf tour event in Utah. Jake posted an outstanding level par 71 on a demanding 6,600 yard long course in the second day to capture a 3rd place finish.
Congratulations Jake!
Golf is about slow, steady improvement and getting better at something every day. All my students work not only on their swing but also on proper nutrition, mental conditioning/ attitude and perspective, game management, and fitness with TPI Fitness Professional Casey Crowell.
