PWG Strive for Excellence students dominate IGA junior event

Congratulations to Jake Slocum, Connor Mahoney, and Jake O’Neil for placing T1, T1, and 3rd place respectively in an Idaho Golf Association junior event in the 14-15 boys division.

I am also very proud of Strive for Excellence student Nate Barkan.  Although he didn’t have the score he wanted he played so well that close the end of his round he started thinking about his score.  He learned that he needs to focus on the process and not the result.

All four of these juniors participate in the Paul Weyland Golf Strive for Excellence junior program which prepares juniors for collegiate golf and beyond.  The golf and fitness training and hard work these juniors put into their games is starting to show in their tournament results.  More importantly I am proud of how these fine young men present themselves on and off the golf course.
